SCORE Western Connecticut has been named a 2026 SCORE Northeast Region District Award Winner in Connecticut for outstanding performance during 2025. Other district region recipients included SCORE Chapters from Southeast Massachusetts, Northern Maine, New Hampshire/Vermont, New York City, Central New York, and Putnam County in New York.
The award recognizes the SCORE Western Connecticut Chapter for exceptional growth in the services provided to local entrepreneurs, the success of its public outreach and excellent client satisfaction.
SCORE Western Connecticut provides one-on-one mentoring to pre-startups, start-ups, entrepreneurs and established business owners and conducts in-person workshops and webinars focusing on the formation, growth and overall success of small businesses.
“We are honored to receive recognition from SCORE’s Northeast Region,” said SCORE Western Connecticut Co-Chair David Rich. “Our volunteer mentors have a passion for business, and they are committed to the success of Western Connecticut and the small businesses, which serve this community.”
Since 1964, SCORE has helped more than 17 million entrepreneurs start, grow or successfully exit a business. SCORE’s 10,000 volunteers provide free, expert mentoring, resources and education in all 50 U.S. states and territories.
Though funded in part through a Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), all opinions, conclusions and/or recommendations are those of the author(s) and do not necessarily reflect the views of the SBA.
Last October, the SCORE Western Connecticut Chapter merged with SCORE Fairfield County and SCORE Northwestern Connecticut to form a new combined chapter under the SCORE Western Connecticut moniker.
