Neptune Dive Service, Brian Mykytiuk
Neptune Dive Service successfully launched as a family business in 2016. In the past year and a half they have added services, increased revenue month after month, and plan to hire their first employee in the spring.
SCORE mentor Robert Tongen guided Mykytiuk through the process of launching, mapping out which steps to take and when. Mykytiuk advises other potential small business owners to be persistent, have confidence, and come to mentoring sessions prepared with a list of questions.
Ever wondered how the bottoms of yachts stay clean? The answer, at least in Channel Islands Harbor, is the work of Brian Mykytiuk, who is “basically half fish” and his business, Neptune Dive Service. Mykytiuk dives under docked boats to clean the hull and hardware, and keeps yachts in the best condition possible by doing general maintenance underwater. Neptune recently expanded to topside service to include washing, cabin cleaning, and other upkeep.
Mykytiuk brings 13 years of experience in the harbor, a former career as a dive instructor, and a genuine love of boats and diving to the business.
