I have operated my own businesses for over 35 years, with a large focus on new business development, market research, professional services, and consumer products. In addition, I have been involved in several start-ups, aiding in business design and operations.

My education in engineering and business has enabled me to understand and work with the challenge of translating technical innovations into products and services that solve market needs. I have worked in fields including legal services, insurance, stationery products, publications, web and database design, do-it-yourself products, air purification, water filtration, photography, and many others. I also have experience as a board chair and board member for several nonprofit organizations.

I wish to give back to my community of Minneapolis/St Paul and try to focus my mentoring efforts in this area.

Personally, I enjoy bicycle touring, cross-country skiing, canoeing, and woodworking.
