With my extensive background in entrepreneurship, corporate IT management, organizational change management and college-level teaching, there are several ways you can assist SCORE clients:

- Mentoring and Advising: With my experience in founding and managing both successful and unsuccessful startups, I can provide valuable mentorship to SCORE clients. I can guide new entrepreneurs through the initial stages of their startup journey, helping them avoid common pitfalls and make informed decisions through the scaling of their startup into a functioning enterprise.

Past experience includes that of a real estate broker, founder and acting President of a finance company for over 35 years while employing 100s of employees. Set up company 401k offerings; health insurance, marketing and sales programs on a national basis. Also licensed as an investment banker, series 7 license; financial advisor, series 66 license, along with insurance and health licenses. .

With over three decades of experience in building high-performing sales organizations, leadership, and working within start-ups and franchise networks, Alex Chaparro stands out as a mentor and coach for new business owners. As an ICF Certified Executive Coach, his deep expertise in fostering growth and development across diverse business environments makes him an essential guide for entrepreneurs embarking on their journey.

Having started and successfully operated a grown small service business, I have first hand knowledge of the challenges of starting a business with limited funds and experience, managing cash flow during periods of significant growth, and positioning the business for longer term viability. Having had P&L responsibility with large corporations, I have been part of and led groups responsible for developing strategies, business plans and budgets, inventory management and operations.

I'm excited to support this community! My parents immigrated here from Vietnam and took us from food assistance to self-sufficiency by starting their business. 40 years later we are still running it. Many false starts and sleepless nights could have been saved by any SCORE mentor.

With my extensive academic background in economics and an MBA specializing in finance and marketing, coupled with over two decades of diverse professional experience spanning automotive, financial services, consulting, real estate, operations, marketing, and brand management, I possess a unique skill set for assisting small business owners. I bring a strategic perspective to financial planning, marketing, and operational efficiency. I can help you craft robust business plans, optimize your marketing strategies, and streamline operations.
