A mentoring session is a confidential, personalized conversation with a business expert to answer a question or to solve a problem that you’re facing.
Embark on your entrepreneurial adventure with me, a mentor who excels in guiding both startups and growing businesses. With expertise in establishing solid business foundations, I adeptly navigate through business entity setup, accounting systems, and compliance with local, state, and federal requirements. My experience spans startup costs, cash flow prediction, contract management, human resources, essential business insurances, and multi-state business operations, ensuring a comprehensive approach to business setup and expansion.
I help SCORE clients by assisting and guiding them on their entrepreneurship and small business journey. I have specific experience in small business management, government contracting (DoD), product development, and startup finance (specifically venture capital finance). I can help clients to contemplate starting a business, build a startup business plan, understand startup financial projections, self-assess the strength of their startup concept, and set SMART goals and objectives for their startup journey.
30+ years of experience in all aspects of business and manufacturing operations. Successfully led multiple organizational turnarounds and expansions in small and large organizations. Founded and led a small manufacturing company for 16 years with a successful business transition.
I offer broad experience in science and commercialization having worked in executive roles in two startups. I am also familiar with small business challenges having run a family business consisting of a restaurant, laundromat and two apartment buildings.
Bookkeeping: My experience includes working with a Chart of Accounts, processing Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable transactions, establishing staff tax withholdings, as well as, making payments to retirement plans, the State and the IRS, at times, via the federal Electronic Tax Payment System.
Budgeting: My experience includes understanding factors to consider when preparing a budget – subcategories: personnel, physical plant, third-party services, operating expenses, indirect costs.
