I can help educate SCORE clients about the business world and provide them with tools to help them deal with the challenges and uncertainties they face when starting a new business or growing their current business.

My experience as a small business owner and employee give me a broad and understanding perspective for small to medium size businesses. My career started off in agriculture as a producer. This led to a lengthy career in the trucking industry as a manager and owner. Following the trucking business, I owned a small convenience store with gas. Again, I operated it as the owner/manager. I rounded out my career as an advisor for the Small Business Development Center in Victoria, Texas, helping over 800 diverse clients and businesses.

I have been in ecommerce for over 15 years, and have helped over 150 companies (including my own) scale from 6 figures to 8 figures. While I am known for my ecommerce marketing skills, I have developed a well-rounded knowledge base in every aspect of business - branding, marketing, advertising, SEO, team building, systems and processes, outsourcing, budgeting, product development, and product sourcing.

My work experience has been broad and extends from front line developer to VP C-level, including technical product management, product marketing, strategic and tactical planning, startup business development, startup fundraising, executive and team leadership, information services and technology management, software and hardware development, customer service management, call center management, international logistics and shipping, international joint venture company operations, and military service.

Fear is the number one thing that holds us back from success and keeps the majority of the working population chained to a job they don’t love. This is what sets entrepreneurs apart. While everyone has fears, it is how you deal with your fear that makes a difference.

As a small business owner, it can be difficult to determine the true potential of an idea when you’re examining its pros and cons within the echo chamber of your own mind.
