Hi, my name is Priyanka Lalwani. I am an Audience Marketer helping startups and subject - matter experts to launch and grow their creative ideas into a thriving business.I can help SCORE clients to solve problems in goal setting, revenue generation, client acquisition, fund-raising and allocation of resources. Through my mentoring, my clients acquire focus, get back their confidence, grow their startup and enjoy a successful life!

I am recently retired and hoping to use my knowledge and experience to help other small businesses learn to help themselves. I have held senior management roles, primarily as the Chief Financial Officer, in software, manufacturing and financial services. Many of the companies were early stage, financed by venture capital firms, so my staff size was typically very small, which required that I learn to operate in a very hands-on manner.

I help my startup clients turn their ideas into a business and help established businesses take their business to the next level. All businesses need to focus on their strategy (understanding what their role is in the market) with supporting business plans and financial models (cash flow, P&L, budgets) to really become successful.

Volunteering for SCORE as a mentor makes sense with my background - I enjoy working with business owners as a trusted confidante and business professional, and understanding this critical level of consulting is a significant part of the work that I did in my prior banking career, as well as in my current role with the West Michigan BIPOC Chamber of Commerce.

I have experience consulting with small businesses in the areas of bookkeeping, accounting, income taxes, ownership succession, budgeting, personal finance, financial literacy, mergers & acquisitions, and profit improvement.

I'm a retired law professor whose career also included work in commercial banking, financial analysis, public accounting, and insurance. I can help clients better understand how to track and evaluate their business's performance. While I no longer practice law and cannot give opinions or advice on specific legal questions, I can help clients better understand the financial, legal, and government context in which their business operates.

I'm a dedicated SCORE mentor, seasoned entrepreneur, and a passionate advocate for inclusivity in business. My journey started over a decade ago after my transition from military service, where I learned that “people are our most important asset.” This ethos has stayed with me through the establishment and operation of my own small business and into my current role, enhancing enterprise data and AI strategies for large organizations.

I would like to use my business experience in finance with JP Morgan as well as strategy and operations with industrial companies to help businesses and individuals thrive.
