Local Black Entrepreneurs, Business Owners, Educational and Lending Institutions Team Up to Present the Second Annual “Black In Business” Event To Help Aspiring Black Entrepreneurs and Black Business Owners Succeed.
A mentoring session is a confidential, personalized conversation with a business expert to answer a question or to solve a problem that you’re facing.
As the Chief Executive Officer of Valor Strategic Solutions, a Veteran-owned, small business consulting firm, I leverage my entrepreneurial skills, military experience, and passion for social change to empower small businesses to overcome challenges and achieve sustainable success. With over three years of experience as a professional photographer, I have a unique perspective on how to craft compelling stories, and engage audiences.
With my background and skills, I can offer several forms of assistance to SCORE clients:
Strategic Business Planning: Drawing on my experience in various professional fields, I can help entrepreneurs develop comprehensive business strategies, focusing on efficiency and market relevance.
Emergency Management Expertise: My knowledge in emergency management can be invaluable for businesses needing guidance on risk assessment, crisis management, and contingency planning.
As an entrepreneur, I have experienced the highs and lows of owning my own business and I understand the stress, financial commitment, and dedication it takes to do this. I fumbled through the early stages alone and hope to prevent others from making the same mistakes. I am comfortable with helping all phases of a small business but I particularly enjoy developing a frictionless e-commerce site, marketing, logistics, product development, retail product placement, and media relations (including an appearance on ABC’s Shark Tank).
Fear is the number one thing that holds us back from success and keeps the majority of the working population chained to a job they don’t love. This is what sets entrepreneurs apart. While everyone has fears, it is how you deal with your fear that makes a difference.
As a small business owner, it can be difficult to determine the true potential of an idea when you’re examining its pros and cons within the echo chamber of your own mind.
