I will listen actively to the client in an attempt to be able to provide as much assistance as possible towards assisting them achieve their business goals and aspirations. As a CPA and (former) CFO and founder of what began as start-up ventures but grew to become successful, medium-sized business, my particular areas of expertise and experience include strategic planning, start-up businesses, finance, accounting, cash-flow management and M&A activity.

I can help you improve your understanding of basic business drivers (price, volume, costs, inventory), and how those impact your cash flow and business viability. I have taught financial literacy at many levels for both manufactured products and retail services. Additionally, I am able to give guidance on how to create powerful investor presentations.

I can help you with pipeline industry expertise. I was an upper level engineering manager at a utility company for 30+ years before starting and operating my own pipeline and project management company. As a one man corporation, I dealt with all aspects of running a company and dealing with clients.

Transportation and Finance

Fear is the number one thing that holds us back from success and keeps the majority of the working population chained to a job they don’t love. This is what sets entrepreneurs apart. While everyone has fears, it is how you deal with your fear that makes a difference.

As a small business owner, it can be difficult to determine the true potential of an idea when you’re examining its pros and cons within the echo chamber of your own mind.

My goal as a mentor is to help clients exploit profit opportunities, find solutions to problems, and identify and mitigate business risks. I've worked with both small and large companies across multiple industries (with the exception of health care!) over a 40 year banking career in the US and internationally. Much of my career was spent financing the energy industry "from the drill bit to the light socket". I am a CFA charterholder, currently advise a private wealth management firm's investment committee, and am a subject matter expert in structuring commercial bank financing.

Organizations looking create or grow that don't have the experience to locate and secure funding, drafting executable business plans, and building strong teams to execute their vision.

My goal is to mentor and advise entrepreneurs in the areas of finance management, business planning, and technology company start-up. I have experienced and overcame the challenges of starting and owning a business. I would be glad to share insights and perspectives from my corporate and small business experience.
