SEO is Search Engine Optimization.  It is a way to make your company appear sooner when people perform an online search for your product or service.  Google dominates the search engine market with more than 93%

The first step is to search your company “incognito” to find out how you are doing.  To search incognito, open Google Chrome, select the three-dot icon in the upper right corner, select New Incognito Window from the drop-down menu.  It will be darker than normal.  Where do you come up-top, bottom?  Also, do a search of your company’s product or service and see if and where you come up.

When you google your business, are you in control of what shows up in the box on the right-hand side of the page.  If you don’t control this, Google is, and you can sign up for control of your Google business profile at: https://www.google.com/business/

It is important to find out what keywords would be best to use for your business.  Conduct thorough keyword research to identify relevant terms and phrases your target audience is searching for. Use tools like Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush, or Ahrefs to find high-volume keywords with manageable competition. Incorporate these keywords naturally into your website's content, including titles, headings, meta descriptions, and body text. Some of these sites have free tools or free trials.

One of the best ways to attract people to your website is to create quality content.  Aim to answer common questions, address problems that your customers encounter, and offer solutions.  Regularly update your website with fresh content and use the same content in your posts. Try to use photos and videos.

With the majority of internet traffic coming from mobile devices, optimizing your website for mobile is a necessity.  Be sure to design your website to display properly on various screen sizes and devices.  Google prioritizes mobile-friendly websites in its search results.

Regularly monitor your website’s performance using tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console.  Track key metrics such as organic traffic, keyword rankings, and conversion rates to gauge the effectiveness of your SEO efforts.

Once you have implemented changes to your website and postings to social media, you need to give your platforms time to collect data.  This will need to occur over a 2-4 week period because this is inbound marketing, you are not reaching out to anybody but posting information and photos that you hope will attract attention.
