The Community and Corporate Education Department (CCE) at North Central Michigan College offers a wide range of training for your business with programs tailored to meet specific individual and industry needs. CCE offers training on current technology and equipment, hands-on, experience-based learning, convenient scheduling and locations and certificates of completion and CEU’s recognized by industries.
In the areas of Manufacturing and Engineering Technology, CCE provides courses to support local employers, employees, and individuals looking to build the skills to strengthen our industrial workforce. Our courses are aligned with industry-recognized certifications from the Smart Automation Certification Alliance (SACA) and the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC).
CCE also offers several opportunities for workforce training in the public service sector, including training for paramedics, firefighters, and corrections officers, as well as in the areas of healthcare and hospitality.
If you are looking for soft skills training for your employees, CCE features programs in Leadership, Time Management, Problem Solving, Customer Service and Communications. Training can be conducted at the college or at your locations.
Grant funding is available to offset or cover the cost of many of these programs. GoingPro, Michigan New Job Training Program, and MiLeap are just some of the state-funded programs available to help small and medium businesses train new and recumbent workers.
