

SCORE Southern Arizona volunteers are experienced entrepreneurs, corporate managers, and executives with a diverse set of industries and specialties who volunteer their experience and knowledge to help small business professionals start, develop, and grow businesses. We offer free business advice, low-cost or no-cost business training, and numerous templates and tools.
*Fast Company* has previously ranked Arizona #1 in the nation for entrepreneurial activity. Our state ranks fifth for projected job growth according to *Kiplinger*. In a study recently conducted by a labor-analytics firm *Emsi*, Maricopa County was recently ranked the top county in the country for attracting and retaining workers. And *Chief Executive* included Arizona on its Top 10 States for Business list.

Diverse backgrounds, different voices, and unique needs may call for specialized resources and mentoring approaches. SCORE is listening, recognizes these diverse needs, and provides personalized support in a wholly-inclusive platform called SCORE for All.
Since 1964, SCORE has educated and mentored more than 11 million small business owners and entrepreneurs. We're looking for people with diverse backgrounds and experiences to serve in a variety of roles — from knowledgeable business mentors to local community advocates.
Even in the midst of all the turbulence from the past year, the Arizona and Utah district was able to make a huge impact in their community. The award recognizes the Arizona and Utah district for exceptional growth in the services provided to local entrepreneurs, a wide range of free workshops, and excellent free remote mentoring.
The Arizona and Utah district was recognized again for its high level of performance. The 2021 Outstanding District Leadership Award is given to one district in each of the eight regions across the country. Of the seven districts in the Western region, Arizona and Utah was selected as the Outstanding District Leadership. Congratulations to all the hard-working volunteers committed to helping small business!
This prestigious award recognizes the efforts of so many dedicated and hardworking volunteers that have devoted so much time into growing our presence in our community, serving our clients and supporting SCORE's mission and vision.
