I met Lisa years ago when we both were working in the insurance restoration industry when she was the western regional manager for a national company that provided relocation services for homeowners displaced by water and fire damage. We didn't know each other well and our businesses didn't intersect, but we would see each other at industry events. I knew enough about her that when she was looking for a new opportunity and our company had an opening for a senior business development manager I thought she might be a good fit. Little did I know that not only was she the best in the Seattle market, but the best that I had ever seen, which is saying something as I worked trade shows nationally after I sold my business to a national company. Frankly, there are not enough superlatives to describe Lisa. Tenacious, disciplined, hard-working, a team player, and the "do whatever it takes attitude" don't adequately describe her. I was on the one hand shocked to see the financials for her first full year in business, but knowing Lisa...I wasn't really surprised because having known her as long as I have, I knew she would be wildly successful. It is my pleasure and honor to introduce my good friend Lisa Poole, one of our nine finalists for SCORE client of the year.

Lisa lost two girlfriends to COVID-19 in the spring of 2020. She and both of her children then became significantly ill with the virus in early summer. The personal impact of the pandemic caused Lisa to reflect on her two-decade-long Business Development career and wonder how she could use her skills and relationships to contribute to the Construction and Commercial Real Estate industry's growth and recovery. Lisa’s entrepreneurial spirit allowed her to be successful in scaling companies throughout her career but until Covid, she had convinced herself that she was too risk-averse to start her own business. After the deaths of her friends, Lisa decided to change her narrative and be bold- telling herself that “the biggest failure is not to try”. As a single mom of two teenagers on the Eastside, she had to find success quickly or go back to work. Fortunately, Lisa’s network of professional service providers, friends, past employers, and SCORE helped her create a strong foundation on which to build LinkMe. Lisa’s business model of connecting her network to new professional development opportunities with Puget Sound-based companies whose values mirror her own is both incredibly impactful and deeply gratifying.
Over the course of her 20-year career in the traditionally male-dominated construction and insurance industries, Lisa Poole has earned a reputation as a pioneer for women in these fields among peers and colleagues. Her outstanding record as a relationship-builder is powered by her unique blend of relentless energy, careful listening skills, and an intense focus on customer satisfaction.
Lisa’s career in the AEC and insurance industries started after graduation from the University of Puget Sound’s Business Leadership Program. For the next two decades, she held a variety of increasingly senior business development, risk management, commercial insurance, and talent acquisition roles before launching LinkMe in 2020.
Lisa credits her instinctive passion for connecting to and with people as a key driver for building and expanding her client’s reach and team. She is honored to be a trusted resource for AEC professionals ready to explore new professional development opportunities.
