David Ormerod is a Small Business Mentor with the Eastside Branch of Seattle SCORE and brings a multidisciplinary background in engineering, finance, marketing, and business consulting.
He holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering and an MBA in Finance. David spent much of his career in marketing with high-technology medical device companies, focusing on product strategy, market development, and commercialization.
He later founded a management consulting firm in Houston, Texas, where he advised companies on strategic planning and marketing strategy. His experience also includes working as a financial advisor and commercial insurance agent, giving him additional insight into financial literacy, risk management, and business operations.
David enjoys helping entrepreneurs clarify their business strategy, build effective marketing plans, and strengthen the financial foundation of their businesses.
