SCORE Lowcountry Launches Program for Minority-Owned Businesses

This video "SCORE Minority Small Business Program" features Michelle Gaston, the Minority Outreach Leader for SCORE SC Lowcountry. She highlights a new initiative called the Minority Small Business Program, supported by the SCORE SC Lowcountry chapter. It's set to launch again in 2022.

SCORE SC Lowcountry created this Minority Small Business Program in 2021, intended to help grow minority-owned businesses in the Lowcountry. Through this program, business owners located in Beaufort, Jasper, Colleton, and Hampton counties are eligible to apply for financial awards.

Discover the stories of several remarkable business owners, who were recognized as 2021 award winners. Michelle also introduces Eric Turpin from the Native Island Business and Community Affairs Association, one of the community advisors for the program. 

The video aims to promote SCORE's impact helping people start and grow their businesses, especially minority-owned businesses. Michelle encourages future applicants for these awards to be confident in their abilities. She emphasizes that taking a chance may lead to success and advises viewers to seek more information about the program on the SCORE website.
