REDCON Solutions Group (REDCON) , Kyle Evans
REDCON Solutions Group (REDCON) is a Service-Disabled, Veteran-owned Small Business (SDVOSB), REDCON is an industry leader in providing Workforce Solutions to Commercial, Federal, and Non-Profit organizations government facilities, energy substations, and non-profit organizations.
I am originally from a small Virginia town on the Chesapeake Bay. I joined the military in 2003, was deployed in 2003-2004, and then again in 2007 when I was wounded. When I returned to the States, I was stationed in the Savannah area at Ft. Stewart. I medically retired in 2011 and moved to Orlando to take a job with Veteran Affairs. It was there that I had the opportunity to develop meaningful employment opportunities that would allow them to return to the workforce and lead productive lives. It was from that platform REDCON was born. I was specifically passionate about helping disabled vets, and that passion became therapeutic for me as well. I started REDCON Solutions Group in Orlando in 2014 and then moved my family to Savannah in 2018 and our business followed in January 2020.
REDCON Solutions Group has the ability to leverage military veterans, and active Reserve and National Guard members in the services we offer. Our philosophy is to provide the highest quality service to federal, state, and commercial clients while continually improving support and services to keep pace with clients’ ever-changing requirements. Service excellence is the heart and soul of the business and a critical element in our customer relationships.
One of my biggest passions as the owner of this business is having the opportunity to help improve the quality of life for veterans. I wouldn’t call it a low point, because I love what I do, but I do spend a lot of time working on efforts that help veterans transition from homelessness to sustainable jobs. My wife and I also launched Meraki Strategic Group, a business to help non-profit organizations acquire funding through grant acquisition as well as receive consulting and support services to enhance their programs and infrastructure to better achieve success in their respective missions.
After several of my professional colleagues told me about how SCORE had influenced their success stories, I met with Mr. Michael Siegel, who is the local chair of the Savannah Chapter. After reviewing the different services SCORE offers, I recognized SCORE could provide me with a good opportunity to strategize with business leaders who have accomplished their goals, and who could help me attain mine.
Our monthly meetings allow me to stay focused on the strategies we have developed. Having a clear set of valid and attainable goals has helped my business experience significant growth.

The best advice I could give to someone thinking of starting a small business is to have a plan. You must be prepared to work hard and be patient, understanding that growing a business is a marathon, not a race.
Persistence is the key, along with hard work, preparation, and readiness. The name of my company is based on this philosophy. “RED-CON” derives from the military term “Readiness, Condition to respond”. When military vets choose to work for my company, they understand what they’re signing up for. When clients choose REDCON Solutions Group, they will get a team of trained and experienced professionals who are ready and conditioned to provide a multitude of exceptional workforce solution services.
