Need to Know for the 2024 "BizPitch Savannah™" Entrepreneurial Competition

Please carefully read the following Rules and Requirements. It is essential that you comply with all Rules and meet all Requirements in order to apply. If you do not comply and you submit an application, your proposal will not be considered.

PLEASE NOTE THAT A NON-REFUNDABLE $25 ENTRY FEE IS REQUIRED FOR ALL "BIZPITCH SAVANNAH™" COMPETITION APPLICANTS. PAYMENT OF THE ENTRY FEE IS REQUIRED IMMEDIATELY AFTER YOU SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION.

This event is FREE TO THE PUBLIC.

KEY DATES:

APPLICATIONS WILL START BEING ACCEPTED ON JUNE 12, 2024.

ONLY ONE (1) APPLICATION IS ALLOWED PER PERSON.

ALL APPLICATION ENTRY FEES MUST BE PAID UPON APPLICATION.

You will receive instructions on how to submit your application fee both on the application website and via an email once you submit the application. Applications for which payment of the application fee has not been received will be ineligible for consideration.

Preparing your Proposal:

The BizPitch process begins by filling out and submitting your completed application. The application portal allows you to save your application and come back to it to finish filling it out. Applications that have not been completed by the time of the deadline will not be considered. All application submissions will be reviewed by a Savannah SCORE Review Committee and evaluated for clarity, completeness, uniqueness, and potential financial viability.

The topics under the seven Application Topics shown in the Rules and Requirements must be addressed in your application. Be brief and focused.

Please download the 2024 Rules and Requirements and become familiar with them before registering and submitting your proposal.

***********IMPORTANT***********

NOTE: Your proposal will be limited in the number of letters for each question and MUST BE submitted online by 12:01 AM EST, WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 15, 2024. Applications that exceed the character count for any questions will not allow you to submit them until you correct those (this downloadable worksheet will help you figure out in advance the allowable size for each of your answers).

NOTE: No proposals will be considered without paying the non-refundable application fee, which is due upon application.

ELIGIBILITY

All applicants must be at least 18 years of age
Proposed businesses may be either a new start-up or an existing business with revenue under $100,000.
Winners must agree to locate the business in one of the following Georgia Counties: Bulloch, Bryan, Chatham, Effingham, Glynn, Liberty or McIntosh.
All participants will be subject to the Savannah Biz Pitch 2024 Timeline.

Attendance on these dates is mandatory:

Wednesday, August 15 — All applications must be finalized and submitted by 12:01 AM.
Friday, August 23 — All applicants will be notified of the selection of eight finalists
Friday, September 6 — "Perfect Your Pitch Coaching Workshop". for the Eight chosen finalists. Each Finalist will pair with a Mentor to finesse their presentation.

Friday, October 4 —Presentation Practice Session for each Finalist and Mentor. 12 - 2 pm. Location TBD.
Friday, October 18 — Finalists will make their presentation to the judges. Three winners will be selected.
