I have almost thirty years of experience in the federal government working for the U.S. Commercial Service in area of export promotion, compliance and financing. My particular area of expertise is in helping companies decide if international is right for them and navigating the complexities of international trade, export/import rules and regulatons. In addition, I am well versed with various export promotion and finance programs in other federal government agencies, such as the Small Business Administration (SBA), the Export Import Bank (ExIm), the U.S. Trade Development Agency (USTDA) and the Development Finance Corporation (DFC). I have also collaborated with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and the Defense Intelligence Unit (DIU) on the procurement of cutting-edge technology from the private sector. In addition to federal resources, I am familiar with State level government trade promotion programs, such as the State Trade Expansion Program (STEP) which helps small businesses export and enter global markets and tap into the benefits of selling their products and services overseas.
