Vets to Business Workshop Series


SCORE San Diego’s Veterans Committee Chapter is offering five Business Courses for Military Members and their Spouses interested in starting, buying, or running an existing business.

The courses are available to the public for $25 each and FREE OF CHARGE to active-duty military, veterans, and spouses with military IDs.

Veteran's Programs

SCORE San Diego’s Veterans Committee works with local San Diego military installations to serve military members in transition, veterans, and their spouses interested in becoming entrepreneurs and small business owners. We also provided mentorship to veterans with existing businesses. We extend our veteran expertise through co-mentoring, workshops, networking, and public speaking engagements with Veteran organizations throughout San Diego county.

Community Engagement

Our Community Engagement programs work with many of the region’s community organizations. This is an opportunity for our members to immerse themselves in elements of our community that are focused on economic development, education, technology, government, civic groups, etc.

This no-cost service is available for executives of existing businesses that desire ongoing business advice or mentoring. After evaluating the business challenges, a mentor (or mentors) will be assigned to you by matching their background to your industry and your most significant business opportunities.

Buying and Selling a Business

Attention Business Buyers or Business Sellers! This workshop is essential if you are thinking about buying or selling an existing business. In this workshop presented by buy-sell transaction professionals you will:

  • Hear about the process and people involved in buying and selling a business and learn how to effectively deal with business brokers and other advisors
