Cultural Noire Performing Arts Company, Gina M. Jackson
Cultural Noire Performing Arts Company is a theatrical company whose purpose is to produce and preserve the richness of the African Diaspora through its presented artworks and programs.
My calling and my purpose!
The theatre company is special and so is its GODLY purpose.
Having a nonprofit within itself is an achievement. There are no specific laws - we keep working hard!
I completed the Entrepreneurs' Program in 2008-09, so I was already very familiar with SCORE and its wonderful work. Also, as a college student, I worked at the District Office in my hometown one summer (the late 1980s), and I was highly impressed with them.
Harry Duffield is just wonderful! I wanted to convert the theatre company from a for-profit business to a nonprofit. From Summer 2019 until completion, Harry walked me through every single step. I still keep in touch.
When I attended a nonprofit workshop that summer with Harry and Bill Pope, I knew that I would be in great hands. Harry is very knowledgeable, patient, and strategic (So is Bill). I owe so very much to him and SCORE. Two years later, I am still very grateful for all that Harry has done. I would not be where I am now with the theatre company without his guidance and expertise. Thank you, Harry!
