SCORE San Diego Speed Mentoring Event
Community Engagement Programs

Our Community Engagement programs work with many of the region’s community organizations. Through this activity we extend our mentoring, workshop, networking, & speaking services to help educate businesses, entrepreneurs, and students on how to start or grow their businesses

SCORE Community Engagement outreach programs cultivate partnerships with a wide assortment of local organizations. The effort has several objectives:

number 1 icon

Increase the San Diego County business, education, civic, and government sectors’ awareness of SCORE, its capabilities, and resources.

number 2 icon

Provide mentors’ experiences and knowledge to assist small businesses and those who aspire to start a business.

number 3 icon

Broaden the Chapter’s network of like-minded organizations to aid in stimulating the economic environment of our region.

The Goal

The Chapter’s Community Engagement Programs provide resources that can either be integrated into an organization’s existing business/entrepreneur programs or assist in creating new programs that expand the organization’s portfolio of business support. The goal is to be seen as a partner with extensive experience in a wide variety of business markets and roles. SCORE will work with the organization to provide classical business mentoring, a guest speaker on a specific topic, judge an entrepreneur concept competition, or participate in a panel discussion. The Community Engagement program is also interested in developing new approaches and tactics that help entrepreneurs and small businesses.

There are several communities that have been prioritized for the Chapter’s engagement efforts. These communities display synergism with SCORE’s client profile, demographics, and the Chapter’s mission. The Chapter is willing to pursuing opportunities in other communities.
