I have 35 years of experience managing private golf/country clubs. During that time, I worked up the ladder of success from assistant manager to club manager to general manager. Among the other areas of responsibility, the F&B operations at each had millions of dollars in annual sales. After living in Florida for most of my life, my wife and I moved to North Carolina three years ago to be closer to our grandchildren (Apex and Charlotte). At that time, I transferred from the Palm Beach Chapter to the Raleigh Chapter. Last year I took on the role of the chapters Coordinator of Social Events, but the Covid-19 pandemic made it necessary to put social activities on hold. Once we return to a more normal way of life, the chapter get-togethers will resume. These will include golf outings, the Annual Awards Luncheons, family picnics, bowling, dinner parties, attending professional baseball games and more.
