My work experience started in Wichita KS as a beginning accountant for a large regional accounting firm, designing and implementing accounting programs for large and small businesses. It also included working with the clients, training and trouble shooting their use of these programs. In order to qualify for the Certified Public Accountant certificate, I passed the 3 day test that is given twice a year, completed 6 months of opinion auditing, and worked under supervision and training for 2 years. After reciving my certificate I worked in all areas of accounting. When the firm was sold. I changed employers and ended up working for a regional bank in their small busibess section, working with all types of clients--corporations, partnerships, and individuals. This was a very enjoyable profession, for I got to know and help in many different situations
