Dim Sum is defined as variety of small Chinese dishes served as a snack or main course, such as fried or steamed dumplings, savory veggies and meats, and just sweet-enough deserts. But Neoh’s definition is a little more down-to-earth: comfort food; brunch, breakfast lunch and dinner; a meal meant to be shared; or a hangover cure. A 2019 DEI study examined the challenges that the LGBTQ+ community face worldwide despite recent advances in legal and cultural progress. The results reflected the dilemma that Karen Foley was facing as a member of the LGBTQ+ community in Lancaster. There was a vacuum with a critical need to fill, and Karen was ready to make a move to bridge that gap. One of the first steps that Karen took in this process was to reach out to SCORE Lancaster-Lebanon to request the assistance of a SCORE mentor.

Every year, SCORE volunteers help thousands of entrepreneurs start small businesses and achieve new levels of success in their existing businesses. We believe that anyone can start and manage a successful small business. We also know that the road is harder for some than for others. Diverse backgrounds, different voices and unique needs may call for specialized resources and mentoring approaches. SCORE is listening, recognizes these diverse needs, and provides personalized support in a wholly-inclusive platform called SCORE for All.
