Barry Marks is a Partner with IntelliCom Analytics, leading global market research and operational management of the firm’s Market Intelligence Programs and Professional Services in the Communications and Information Technology industries. Under Mr. Marks’ leadership, the firm provides industry-leading executive counsel in such areas as strategic business model planning, opportunity targeting, competitive benchmarking and performance improvement, go-to-market strategy and development, and pricing and software strategy and policies. Market areas of distinctive expertise include Enterprise Network Convergence and IP Telephony Infrastructure; Business Communications Applications; Lifecycle, Professional, Managed and Hosted Services; and Enterprise Mobility. Mr. Marks has over 35 years of leadership experience in the IT and Telecommunications industries involving both technology and service providers as well as executive advisory roles. Prior to IntelliCom Analytics, Mr. Marks was Sr. VP and COO of InfoTech, responsible for business development and management of InfoTech’s Professional Services practice and market research activities. At Comdisco, Mr. Marks was VP of Consulting Services, leading custom consulting and program management services to Fortune 500 clients involving engagements in Network Design and Implementation, Data Center/Network Migration and Relocation, Web Hosting Services, Business Continuity, and Storage Area Network Design and Implementation. At Gartner Group, Mr. Marks was Vice President/General Manager for Consulting Services, actively directing and participating in engagements for both providers and end-users; covering a broad spectrum of technology areas including voice/data communications, enterprise networking, mainframe and mid-range computing platforms, Web-based applications and systems management. Prior to his executive advisory positions, Mr. Marks held key business development and marketing positions at IBM and AT T, including responsibilities for business partnership development involving Web-based hosted applications infrastructures and services, business planning, and competitive research and market intelligence.
