Dr. Barasia is the General Manager of Parker Young Construction, a leader in restoration construction and the 24/7/365 Emergency Mitigation business in the SouthEast. He is also the Owner and CEO, GKM Associates, LLC, and is a certified business coach. GKM Associates, LLC, is located in Johns Creek, GA, a business coaching consultancy firm that provides advisory services to small and midsize businesses.
Dr. Barasia has been involved in several start-up businesses: Internet Content Delivery & Distribution - an AT&T Business Division, Home Wireless Network - a start-up venture with funding from AT&T and VCs, TAB North Atlanta - a peer group advisory firm, and GKM Associates, LLC - a business consulting firm.
Dr. Barasia has lived in Johns Creek for the past twenty-plus years. He was on the Board of Leadership North Fulton, where he was chairman of the Project Committee. In addition, he was a member of the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce (GNFCC), has been a member of the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), and was on the Board of conexx (American Israel Business Connector, previously known as, American Israel Chamber of Commerce). Dr. Barasia worked up the corporate ladder at ATT (NYSE: T) and Lucent Technologies (NYSE: LU), where he held several leadership positions in sales, marketing, and business development, including the President of a business division. Afterward, for the next twelve years as CEO, he led successful turnarounds at Comverse Inc. (Nasdaq: CMVT), a midsize technology business; Radware Inc. (Nasdaq: RDWR), a Data Center Solutions business; and IQMAX, a start-up healthcare business.
