Telling Tales Publications, LLC, Eleni Theodorou
Theodorou was invited by the South African Consulate General in New York City to host the launch of both her first book in 2015 and the launch of its upcoming sequel, slated for release in late 2018. Her first book's manuscript has since been translated into Spanish, Greek, and Afrikaans. She has landed multiple contracts with various school districts, and her program lesson plan is being considered for curriculum inclusion.
Theodorou is currently working on the second book in the Noko the Knight series and has branched out into nutritious food products. Noko Nibbles is a naturally seasoned beef snack that is USDA-approved and made in the United States.
Theodorou has a Masters in Psychology and is a certified Life Coach and NeuroCoach. Her background provided a path to both write and create educational programs, but collaborating with SCORE mentors helped set the stage for her business. She worked with mentors Richard Kitaeff, George Ginsberg, and Larry Matte on myriad subjects including corporate sponsorship, networking, business plans, and website development. “Their wealth of knowledge, their encouragement, and their holding me accountable to get my ‘homework’ done has pushed me and my company to even greater success,” she says.
An idea for a book led Eleni Theodorou on an adventure to a new career and business. While working a corporate job, Theodorou used her free time after hours to develop her children’s book, Noko the Knight. The book’s warm reception opened up opportunities for her to talk about its themes with groups of children and adults. She quickly became a leader within the anti-bullying movement. Theodorou developed a program based on her book, called Noko’s Culture of Compassion Campaign, teaching children about feelings, empathy, and bravery. Using her book as a foundation, Theodorou established her company, Telling Tales Publications, LLC. She now works as an anti-bullying educator in partnership with schools nationwide.
