I recently stepped back from my company where I was CEO of a regional solid waste company from 2007 - 2020. I enjoyed putting teams together, developing employees & pushing people outside of their comfort zones. We developed “coaching” as a way for all managers & supervisors to grow the skills of their direct reports.
We were private equity owned and grew the company through mergers & acquisitions usually keeping the employees of the acquired company folding them into our operation.
Prior to that I was a practicing attorney in Bergen County representing small businesses.
