Each month we will be highlighting a mentor or two in our newsletter. Each one brings a wealth of knowledge to our clients, and we wanted to share some of their backgrounds with you!
Matt Frankel has been volunteering with SCORE for over 7 years now. His experience and business knowledge has helped dozens of small business owners over the years. We wanted to highlight him here to share the fabulous qualities he brings to the table when working with SCORE clients. Remember, all Mentoring is offered thru SCORE at no cost to the client!
Steve Perlman, has been a volunteer mentor for SCORE for 9 years now. Steve has himself, been a business owner and lived thru managing the operations and then successfully selling the business during the course of his career.
Another great mentor that has volunteered for our NW chapter for 8 years now, is Bob Shiff. Bob has worked in the Consumer Electronics and Finished goods industries, working for General Electric, Toshiba America and Canon USA during his career. His expertise is in the areas of Marketing, Sales, and Advertising.
Peter joined SCORE as he was interested in the financial aspect of business and Score gave him the opportunity to acquaint himself with a variety of different industries. Find out more about Peter Cohan here!
Michael joined SCORE to give back to the community, hoping his experience could help make a business owner's job a little easier in building their business.
Highlighting here another of our Certified SCORE Mentors in the Northwest NJ Chapter, Barry Marks! In his own words “I think my sweet spot is working with the client to help them better understand their personal and professional value proposition – where they can bring value to their customer or client and how to quantify the benefits they would deliver.”
Marty Telles joined SCORE and the Northwest NJ Chapter about 7 years ago. Initially, he was primarily interested in mentoring small businesses. After being with the chapter a short time he joined the chapter's management team. He then served as both Communications Manager and the Membership Chair. He assumed the role of Chapter Chair about four years ago.
Our next mentor that we are highlighting is Bruce Fisher. Bruce has been a SCORE volunteer for over eight years serving not only as a mentor but also in various administrative roles in the Chapter. Here is some information on Bruce, in his own words.
