As a banking and corporate finance executive, I spent the first part of my career in financial services, primarily focused on global operational risk sales, marketing, and project management for large corporate accounts. After time in banking and corporate finance, I shifted focus to the food and non-profit industries. I founded and served as business manager for Bomba Cucina, LLC, a catering company specializing in Mediterranean cuisine. My responsibilities included profit loss tracking, contract documentation, website content, sales pipeline, client communications, and marketing material for cooking club events and promotions. Currently I am the East Coast Community Outreach Director for Mission Be, a non-profit whose mission is to bring mindfulness-based social-emotional learning programs to schools as an antidote for stress, violence, bullying and addiction and thereby increase the number of thriving, happy and peaceful children in the world. I also invest in real estate and have accumulated a wealth of knowledge in hiring contractors, architects, and subcontractors and the process to obtain structural, mechanical and sprinkler approvals with government agencies. I am also familiar with the demolition, structural build, and interior framing phases; site safety codes; working with adjoining buildings; and complaint system processes. Im also intimately familiar with passing inspections with Department of Buildings, Department of Environmental Protection, Department of Transportation, Fire Department, and Sanitation Department. I serve on the board and am Co-Chair of the Development Committee for Urban Resource Institute, the largest U.S. non-profit serving victims of domestic violence and the developmentally disabled.
