The Roundtable is a unique service where every participant learns from one another. It has proven to be the most effective way to help small businesses grow using the peer-to-peer model. Here are some questions you may have.
WHAT IS THE ROUNDTABLE?
Now in its 14th year, the SCORE NYC Small Business Owners Roundtable is a peer-to-peer group of business owners from various industries. This 8-session series enables you to achieve profitable growth by providing a collaborative exchange of ideas among owners, facilitated by SCORE NYC mentors and supported by guest experts.
Roundtable groups meet every 2 weeks with agendas that include: short-term goals, strategic directions, leadership issues, options for scaling growth, cash flow and other topics the group has chosen. You and your peers will select topics and benefit from emotional and empathic support from other business owners who face similar challenges.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Small business owners in any sector or industry.
The Roundtables will be grouped by revenue range according to business stage and scope of growth:
- Early-stage entrepreneur with revenue under $75k
- Established Early-stage Entrepreneur with revenue in the $75-$300K range
- Well established Entrepreneur with revenue over $300K who aims to reach $1 million in revenues and above
- More Advanced Businesses for larger companies
WHY JOIN A PEER-TO-PEER GROUP?
- Learn from Others: A peer-to-peer Roundtable provides the opportunity for you to learn from other small business owners who have faced similar challenges and opportunities. You can gain insights into what has worked for others and what hasn’t and apply that knowledge to your own business.
- Accountability: A peer-to-peer Roundtable can help you stay accountable to your business goals and objectives. You'll have a group who can offer support, encouragement, and advice -- to help keep you on track.
- Networking/Collaboration: Roundtables can be a networking opportunity with other owners for referrals, partnerships and other types of collaboration, and with many SCORE resources.
- Problem Solving: When you encounter a problem or challenge in your business, having a group of peers to turn to can be invaluable. They may be able to offer advice, ideas, or solutions that you haven’t considered.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF JOINING A ROUNDTABLE?
