Feinman to Serve as Key Management Leader for Small Business Mentoring Organization
Washington, D.C.—SCORE “Counselors to America’s Small Business” announces the national appointment of Steve Feinman as the district director for Michigan. Feinman, a volunteer leader based in Ann Arbor will lead and support local SCORE offices in providing small business mentoring and training to entrepreneurs across the Michigan area.
SCORE CEO Ken Yancey says, “Steve has an outstanding business and management background. He is a champion for the role of small business in our economy, especially during recession recovery.” Yancey adds, “Steve has shown continued dedication to the mission of SCORE and the success of the Michigan small business community. Michigan SCORE volunteers have extensive experience in small business start-ups and helping businesses succeed.”
Feinman has been with SCORE since 2009. He started with Ann Arbor SCORE as a volunteer and was the incoming vice-chair of the Ann Arbor Chapter before being named district director. Feinman has 30 years of management, strategic planning, business development and marketing experience. He also serves as a federal development business consultant, providing tactical and strategic business development services to small businesses pursuing federal government IT and service contracts.
Michigan SCORE includes nine local offices that reach thousands of entrepreneurs each year through face-to-face and online mentoring and a series of business workshops. SCORE chapters are located in Detroit, Kalamazoo, Traverse City, Tip of the Mitt Area, Grand Rapids, Muskegon, Ann Arbor, Holland and the Ludington & Scottsville Area.
