SCORE Wins National Honor for Web Site Achievement
Washington, D.C.—SCORE "Counselors to America's Small Business" won the prestigious 2006 Interactive Media Award (IMA) for Outstanding Achievement for the SCORE Web site, www.score.org. SCORE received high marks for content, functionality and usability.
The Web site excelled in all areas of the judging criteria and represents a high standard of planning, execution and overall professionalism. Last year, SCORE re-launched www.score.org with a fresh, new look designed to be more visually appealing and easier for clients and visitors to use.
New How-To and Business Tools sections offer valuable guides, templates and resources to help entrepreneurs start, finance, manage and grow a business. As part of the Web site makeover, SCORE refined navigation features and added a site map to make getting around easier.
A new Ask SCORE box on the home page gives quick access to SCORE’s free and confidential online counseling. Each page now includes a ZIP code finder to find a local SCORE office. New photos added to each page support SCORE’s awareness campaign theme, Live Your Dream. SCORE Can Help.
SCORE CEO Ken Yancey says, “SCORE is honored to receive this award for the SCORE Web site, which provides a one-stop resource that helps small businesses succeed.” Yancey adds, “SCORE’s Web site provides 24/7 Ask SCORE online business advice and a wide range of information and useful tools for both start-up and growing businesses.”
Since 1964, SCORE “Counselors to America’s Small Business” has assisted more than 7.5 million aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners through counseling and business workshops.
