CORE, – www.score.org - mentors to America's small businesses, is honored to receive recognition of the non-profit's 50th anniversary at a special presentation by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Council on Small Business tonight. Since 1964, SCORE has helped more than 10 million of America's aspiring and current entrepreneurs start and grow their enterprises.
"We are honored to receive this award in recognition of the hard work of our 11,000+ current volunteer mentors and the hundreds of thousands of former SCORE mentors who have served small businesses for the past 50 years," said SCORE CEO Ken Yancey. "It is their dedication, experience and knowledge that have made a real impact on the American small business landscape."
For 50 years, SCORE and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce have worked in tandem at both the national and local levels towards their mutual goal of assisting America's small businesses in launching and thriving. Through the partnership and joint work of 320+ SCORE chapters and nearly 1,500 state and local chambers, small business owners are afforded the opportunities to network, receive solid business advice and improve their enterprises. SCORE has also partnered with the Chamber to support the 10th annual Small Business Summit (www.uschambersummit.com) this week in Washington, DC.
