SCORE CEO Discusses Small Business Opportunities at Puerto Rico SCORE Chapter
San Juan, Puerto Rico—SCORE CEO Ken Yancey joins Puerto Rico SCORE office to present remarks about small business trends, resources and SCORE outreach. Yancey leads SCORE “Counselors to America’s Small Business” throughout the U.S., Puerto Rico and Guam. Yancey will tour the Puerto Rico office and speak on October 15, 2004.
SCORE provides free and confidential small business advice, as well as low-cost small business workshops and seminars. SCORE helps entrepreneurs make the dream of small business ownership a reality, by providing business planning, loan application and problem-solving sessions to assist entrepreneurs.
This year, SCORE expects to provide more than 500,000 small business services through its face-to-face, phone and online counseling sessions and low-cost business workshops and seminars. SCORE Puerto Rico has both English- and Spanish-speaking counselors.
Yancey says, “I look forward to thanking each SCORE volunteer in Puerto Rico. These volunteers help entrepreneurs succeed in business. Over the past year, SCORE celebrated 40 years of excellence in business counseling and will assist its 7 millionth client in early 2005. SCORE received national recognition, including the first USA Freedom Corps Award for volunteer service. SCORE also won national honors for small business counseling with the Summit Award from the American Society of Association Executives.
