Though it’s only months old, Isaiah has already received accolades for his work, landing the D.C. Chamber of Commerce’s 2022 Young Entrepreneur of the Year award.

The challenge today: Money is one. Brand recognition is the other. Victor Wear is a newborn — Tiffany is making the rounds among various pitch competitions, applying for grants and working hard to make connections.

“We need folks to know about us to have them understand what we stand for,” she said. “A lot of our message revolves around ‘being a victor,’ those who overcome obstacles through grit and determination. We want folks who want to relate to being a victor, and buy into that and wear our clothes.”

Victor Wear also is seeking investors. “That’s the catch-22 in this business,” Hamilton said. “You really need money to make money.”
