Growing awareness
After only one year, the U.S. Senate officially recognized Small Business Saturday®. By 2014, 67% of Americans were aware of the day, and the movement even grew on social media. In 2014, 387,000 tweets used the event's hashtags, #ShopSmall and #SmallBizSat, a surge of 82% from 2012.

Increasing sales
More awareness resulted in a boost in customers and sales for small businesses:
