Mentoring Monday: Three Questions with Mentor Heather Tangora
Heather Tangora found a way to schedule work and play early in her career.
Tangora is the president at Tangora Technologies in Delmar, N.Y. In addition to her work with the heating, cooling and entertainment technology company, Tangora is a mother of two teenagers, an avid skier and a European traveler.
"A mentor helped me realize that it's important to carve out time in my schedule to balance my professional and personal life," Tangora said. "You've got to take that time to take care of yourself."
Tangora will join hundreds of other influential women business leaders at the American City Business Journals’ national Bizwomen Mentoring Monday event today. Events will be held simultaneously in 40 markets across the country.
Mentors will share strategies on how to find a good mentor, and give out other advice with about 130 attendees.
Tangora is one of the star attractions at the Albany, N.Y. event, to be held today at the Hilton Garden Inn in Troy from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. The event will feature a speed networking session with mentors.
