Trippel to Serve as Key Management Leader for Small Business Mentoring Organization
Washington, D.C.—SCORE “Counselors to America’s Small Business” announces the national appointment of Lori Trippel as the district director for Northern California. Trippel, a volunteer leader based in Silicon Valley will lead and support local SCORE offices in providing small business mentoring and training to entrepreneurs across Northern California.
SCORE CEO Ken Yancey says, “Lori has an outstanding business and management background. She is a champion for the role of small business in our economy, especially during recession recovery.” Yancey adds, “Lori has shown continued dedication to the mission of SCORE and the success of the Northern California small business community. Northern California SCORE volunteers have extensive experience in small business start-ups and helping businesses succeed.”
Trippel has been with SCORE since 2002. She started with Silicon Valley SCORE as a volunteer and moved on to become chapter chair and now serves as assistant district director before being named district director. Trippel has 20 years of general management experience in software development, computer services and product management. She has also established the US subsidiaries for two German software companies.
SCORE’s Northern California region includes 5 chapters that reach 17,763 entrepreneurs annually through face-to-face and online counseling and a series of business workshops. The district’s 236 volunteers have an average of 25 years of business knowledge, with a wide range of expertise.
Since 1964, SCORE has helped more than 9 million aspiring entrepreneurs. Each year, SCORE provides small business mentoring and workshops to more than 375,000 new and growing small businesses. More than 13,000 business experts volunteer as mentors in 364 chapters serving local communities with entrepreneur education to help grow 1 million small businesses.
