John Carden Joins SCORE Board of Directors
Carden Offers Leadership, Legal and Accounting Expertise
Washington, D.C.—Former Ernst & Young, LLP Vice-Chair John Carden of Point Clear, Ala., joins the SCORE Board of Directors. SCORE "Counselors to America's Small Business" provides small business mentoring, as well as workshops and seminars, to more than 350,000 aspiring and existing small business owners each year.
Carden is the retired Vice-Chair of Ernst & Young, LLP, having served with the firm for more than 30 years. His responsibilities included the firm’s management consulting services practice, consisting of approximately 1,000 consultants. Carden’s consulting experience covers strategic planning, turnaround assistance, inventory valuation and quality management issues.
Carden is an active member of Baldwin County SCORE in Fairhope, Ala. He joined SCORE in 1997 and has served as both chapter vice-chair and chair. Currently, Carden is the chairman of Point Clear Investments, Inc., a board director for Turner Supply Company, and owner of four Toledo, Ohio, area retail establishments.
