BrowardSCORE held Entrepreneur Encore Mentor Day


Broward SCORE together with the SBA and supported by AARP held Entrepreneur Encore Mentor Day on October 2, 2012 at Nova Southeastern University. The event was targeted at assisting people over age 50 who were looking to start a second career as entrepreneurs with their own businesses.

The event consisted of a presentation about what services SCORE, the SBA & AARP could provide to aid entrepreneurs with either starting a business or growing one if they had already started.

SCORE volunteers who were encore entrepreneurs themselves spoke to the attendees about their journeys from being employed by others to being self-employed. That was followed by some group question and answers and then one-on-one counseling.
