Boston Chapter of SCORE Earns Outstanding Client Impact Award
Washington DC - SCORE, mentors to America’s small business, has honored the Boston SCORE chapter with its 2012 Outstanding Client Impact award. SCORE is a non-profit organization that provides free small business mentoring and offers educational workshops through 364 chapters across the country. In 2011, SCORE’s 13,000+ business experts volunteered their time, knowledge and experience to help create 40,537 new businesses and 67,098 jobs nationwide. The Outstanding Client Impact award is presented in recognition of a chapter with the highest level of client feedback attributing their success to working with SCORE.
At this year’s 2012 SCORE National Leadership Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana, the Boston SCORE chapter was presented with the Chapter Recognition Award for Outstanding Client Impact. The selection of Boston SCORE as this year’s recipient was based on a survey revealing that 84% of the chapter’s clients starting a new business last year and 100% of the chapter’s clients that added jobs last year agreed that SCORE advice helped them achieve these accomplishments.
“SCORE’s ultimate objective is the success of our small business clients. These results clearly and quantitatively show the fantastic, valuable work done by the 75 volunteers of the Boston chapter toward this goal,” said SCORE’s CEO Ken Yancey.
"Boston SCORE is proud to receive this award and to provide such meaningful and helpful service to our clients. Mentoring requires a commitment both on the part of our mentors as well as our clients, so it is particularly gratifying when we see our clients succeed, and when they evaluate our mentoring so highly,” commented Dan Perkins, Chapter Chair of Boston SCORE. “We hope that we can continue to meet our clients’ expectations and that this recognition will result in our attracting even more clients next year."
