I recently found one of the better definitions of an Entrepreneur and Entrepreneurship on a Website called BetterUp®:

My professional background includes the creation, development and management of multiple small service businesses primarily in two industries, security and chauffeured transportation. I have gained hands-on knowledge over 40 years in:

 Corporate Branding and Customer Relations development
 Administrative and Operations management
 Establishing comprehensive Marketing and TQM programs

I believe I can help fledgling entrepreneurs best by first listening to their business start-up dreams, acquiring an understanding of where they are in their actual planning and then determining what assistance they would like for SCORE to provide.

I think the entrepreneurial spirit lies within a great many of us, but it frequently needs a sounding board for its ideas, along with outside help to share management guidance and proven useful business knowledge. SCORE, with its numerous resources and decades of assistance to small businesses, can provide key stepping stones to help set you on a solid path to becoming a successful entrepreneur.

I look forward to mentoring individuals seeking to pursue their dreams but who also understand the serious commitments of time, money and work necessary, along with gaining the knowledge essential, to developing a business of their own. For those that achieve their goal, I know from personal experience, its pursuit will prove to be both a significant learning experience and a very worthwhile undertaking.
