About the event

Small business owners network to develop relationships with people and companies they may do business with in the future. These connections help them establish rapport and trust among people in their communities.

In this workshop you will learn the basic principles of effective networking, then put these principles to use in actual networking sessions with other business owners like you.

This workshop will include:

1st  Segment: A presentation of networking strategies & tools.

·       Selecting networking opportunities

·       Perfecting your elevator pitch

·       Listening skills

·       Goal setting & follow up

2nd  Segment: Active networking.

·       Pairing for 8-10 minute interactions with other attendees

·       SCORE mentors will mingle & listen in

·       Rotate pairings 9-10 times

The workshop will end with a brief Q & A session and reactions from the attendees.
