Tempted to set up your own Wordpress.org website but don't know where to start? 
Learn about things you will need to know, things you will need to update and keep up with on a constant basis. We will discuss domain names, hosting, and reviewing themes (website templates) and plugins (added bells and whistles to a website). We will also talk about the importance of site backups and how (if you have access) to try to recover a site that has been taken offline by a plugin error or update. We will also review site security and basic WordPress SEO.
This is not a Wordpress class on learning how to use Wordpress. We will be making some suggestions on where to find free and lost-cost class options. This class is geared towards teaching some basics that you will need to know prior to deciding whether WordPress is right for you if you are going to do your website yourself.
