After serving with the Army in Europe, worked for Gulf Oil in Venezuela to begin a career in IT. Returned to Houston in 1975 with Gulf. Continued IT career with Coastal States Gas, then El Paso Pipelines. Soon after retirement, joined SCORE in 2008 serving as a MOD and assisting Spanish-speaking clients.
