How I can help you
I started my career in 1973 with the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta as a management trainee, progressing to head of Data Processing/Data Communications. In 1979, I joined the wireless industry as GM of Airtouchs Atlanta Paging operations. Over the next decade+, as VP over the eastern US, the business was expanded dramatically through multiple greenfield start-ups and acquisitions. I moved to the Cellular line of the business in 1994 as VP/GM of the Georgia market, then later as EVP/GM - Eastern Region. Upon retirement in 2000 (when AirTouch became a part of Verizon Wireless), my responsibilities included $1.3 billion in revenue, 3 million customers and 3.000 employees in 30 cities. In retirement, I have spent time a) evaluating multiple personal business investment opportunities, b) investing in and advising technology start-ups and c) advising educational institutions.
