I hold a two-year degree in financial accounting (with honors) from a regional technical college in Washington State. I have successfully completed ten years as the owner of a retail/service business sole proprietorship in commercial photography. I possess extensive experience in accounting/ bookkeeping, accounting systems setup, cash register operations, bank depositing, financial record keeping, State and Federal tax return preparation, personnel administration, employee training, customer service, payroll and health insurance medical claims processing. Since 1999, I have operated a home-based accounting/bookkeeping practice specializing in small business setup, accounting, bookkeeping and tax issues. I have five years experience as a financial officer (controller) for two non-profit corporations. As a part-time technical college faculty member for two years, I have taught courses in Small Business Management, Excel, Introduction to Business and Quick Books Pro. In 2007, I was admitted to practice before the IRS as an enrolled agent (EA) permitting me to represent tax clients in tax court litigation. I serve on the Kalispell, MT Salvation Army Advisory Board as finance chairman. I have been a member of SCORE since 2009 and became a certified mentor in 2014.
