I can help business owners better understand the needs and expectations of customers for the products and services they offer - helping business owners offer what customers want to buy! This can involve marketing and consumer research (expensive!) or a review of information close at hand (e.g., repair logs, customer complaints, talking with customers who on occasion buy from competitors, or conducting interviews with industry experts and trade association personnel). After a career in marketing and consumer research, plus a healthy dose of competitive intelligence, I know how to use proven research methods to identify consumer requirements and expectations and/or to spot areas of opportunity for achieving competitive advantage. Experienced in process improvement, project management, client relations and sales. Former member of MN Quality Council; hold a "Green belt" in Six Sigma process improvement. Former chapter chair of SCORE Minneapolis and former Assistant District Director for Minnesota.
