Peter Burkland is retired after a 40 year career of broad and varied functional experience in companies of many sizes, as well as a hitch as an officer in the U.S. Navy.
Using sophisticated data-based technology, he marketed scientific conferences for a non-profit educational association. As a Business Transformation Consultant for IBM, Peter successfully developed business and IT strategies for clients in a wide variety of industries, and has guided companies of all sizes in the application of technology to business transformation.
Peter’s industry experience includes the functional areas of Information Services, Marketing, Field Sales, Materials Management and Finance in companies such as Lederle Laboratories, American Cyanamid, Bristol Myers, Great Plains Bag and The Continental Group.
He earned his MBA in Finance & Banking from Columbia University and has a BA from Brown University. He certified in production and inventory management (CFPIM) by APICS and qualified as a Surface Warfare Officer during five years of service in the U.S. Navy.
